In Chepstow
and Caldicot our drop in's are run by two full time staff and
two relief members of staff. The idea of the drop in is for people
with mental health problems and carers to come together in a friendly
non judgmental and safe atmosphere for support, to share experiences,
meet new friends or old or just to be listened to.
We
have various activities going on in both drop in's during the
day for example, card making, embroidery, cards, chess, quizzes.
We are always open to new ideas and suggestions.
We aim to promote positive thinking, well being and encourage
an independent way of life. The drop in in chepstow on a Tuesday
has a counseling service and this can be arranged by a referral
system. We have regular visits form the Advocacy service, who
can represent you individually or as a group.
Tea and Coffee is available at a small charge.
Caldicot is open on a Monday at the Methodist Church in the Village(opposite
somerfield) 10am to 3pm.
Chepstow is open every Tuesday at Boverton House and we are in
the Green Room Upstairs. 10am to 3pm
