The Grand Opening of the Resource Centre at the 3C's Dropin Centre, Radstock Court, took place on Thursday, 19th November 2009.  The event was attended by more than forty people including former Councillor Chris Woodhouse, his wife Sheila, and Abergavenny Mayor Douglas Edwards.

Chris Woodhouse, a former Mayor, expressed his pride at the growth of of Monmouthshire Mind which he had helped to found  in 1980.  It was Mr Woodhouse who was responsible for raising the money enabling Mind Monmouthshire to purchase IT equipment for the centre.  This allows local people to utilise two computers in comfortable surroundings and gain access to the Internet.  The centre provides a place for research incorporating DVDs, CDs, magazines, leaflets and counselling.

These facilities are open to anyone with mental health problems in the Abergavenny area.
